Product Overview
The HoverMatt® Single-Patient Use (SPU) Air Transfer System is designed to combine safe patient handling with enhanced infection control. Unlike reusable transfer devices, the SPU version is intended for one patient throughout their stay, reducing the need for laundering and lowering cross-contamination risk.
When connected to a compatible air supply, the mattress inflates to create a cushion of air beneath the patient. This air-assisted technology reduces friction, enabling lateral transfers with minimal physical effort. Caregivers can move patients safely between beds, stretchers, operating tables, and imaging platforms.
The SPU design supports hospitals seeking to balance staff safety, infection prevention, and operational efficiency. By reducing manual lifting force, the system aligns with safe patient handling programs while maintaining practical workflow integration.
When to Use This Product
